Wissett is a small rural village and parish with a population of around 200, lying close to Halesworth in the Blyth Valley.
There have been exciting archaeological finds dating back to the Bronze Age in parts of Wissett. It is also written about in the Domesday book which states that the village was once 1 of the 3 manors in the Halesworth area with the highest farming stock levels at that time.
The village has a village hall and the grade I Listed St Andrew’s church, with parts dating back to at least the 12th Century. With the Suffolk market town of Halesworth just a couple of miles away, Wissett is the perfect place to sample Suffolk village life.
