Two-thirds of the parish of Tunstall lies within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The village itself is very close to Snape and the parish includes Snape Bridge and the nearby world-famous Snape Maltings at its Northeast perimeter, possibly the most famous tourist attraction in Suffolk.
The common leads into Tunstall Forest which is popular for walkers and horse riders. The forest also features a 10-mile mountain bike trail, although you can take a shortcut if it becomes too strenuous.
