The village of Huntingfield, around 4 miles from Halesworth, covers a large area but is generally sparsely populated. The majority of homes are located in the centre of the village close to the local pub, The Huntingfield Arms, and the historic church of St. Mary.

St. Mary’s features a stunning decorated ceiling that attracts visitors from far and wide. It was painted over a 7-year year period in the 1800’s by the parson’s wife, Mildred Holland, who is buried alongside her husband by the churchyard gate.

Another distinctive feature in Huntingfield is the village sign, a more modern addition to the community designed by local artist and resident David Gentleman in 2005.
