Halesworth is an attractive market town in Northeast Suffolk. The town hosted a Roman settlement and archaeological research shows it has been a thriving community for hundreds of years.

The main Thoroughfare is pedestrianised allowing visitors to peruse a wide variety of independent shops and a weekly market takes place on Wednesdays. The town also hosts its own arts festival annually in October; the Halesworth Arts Festival was established 14 years ago and the group behind it also stages a number of afternoon recitals.

The town is situated on a tributary of the River Blyth but is easily accessible by rail on the Ipswich to Lowestoft line, with connections to Norwich, London and beyond.
